Adding regular exercise to your weekly routine is one of the easiest ways you can make a positive difference to your life. A regular and focused exercise routine will make you fitter, stronger, release mood boosting endorphins and lead to a far healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

It can also help you slow the ageing process and live longer!

How will exercise improve my life?

Boost fitness and energy – regular exercise will make your heart stronger and your lungs more efficient, as a result you will be better at transporting oxygen to your working muscles

Build strength – if you want to build strength then regular exercise is key. Strength gains will vary depending on what exercise you choose to do and how intense that exercise is

Enhance Sleep – exercise often and get quality sleep. Fall asleep faster, sleep more soundly and wake up feeling refreshed

Improve body confidence – your metabolic rate will increase as result of regular exercise and you’ll burn more calories whilst resting. Combine regular exercise with a healthy diet and you’re on to a winner!

Reduce stress – after your body works hard, the levels of stress hormones (like adrenaline and cortisol) drop so you become more relaxed and focused

And the best part is – regular exercise can slow the natural decline in physical performance that occurs as you age. By staying active, older adults can actually keep their cardiovascular fitness, metabolism, and muscle function in line with those of much younger people.

How do I start?

Starting a new exercise regime requires motivation and dedication. Depending on what you want to achieve you don’t need to spend loads of time training per week however the more you put in the more you will get out.

As listed above there are massive benefits from regular exercise and to achieve these you’ll need to be focused and determined.

I run personal training, group sessions and bootcamps in Verbier, Le Chable and Volleges. These sessions combine various different aerobic, anaerobic and strength exercises to maximise each person’s potential.
